Blog
I am in the midst of a radical change: new city (Milan, Italy), new job (back to the corporate world), new language I don’t speak at all. I was wondering how my art production will be affected. I was worried the source will dry out, that I will not have the time, the energy or even the desire anymore. That this wonderful parenthesis of pure creation will close.
And then one of my American artist friends, the amazing pastel painter Susan M. Story (https://www.susanmstory.com/) wrote me: “your art will be there when you are ready”. And this is what happened. After a few weeks of a raging storm, while my painting gear was still in France, I bought a block of watercolor paper and a few bottles of ink. New colors, new finishings. As I was out of my comfort zone in all aspects of my life, I thought why not go all the way. I did not like what I did at first. And then the process slowly brought me back to that zone of bliss, when just producing is already magic.
Additionally, I had done an interview with a vegan cruelty-free cosmetic brand, All Tigers ( https://linktr.ee/alltigers_organics) and it was published this month, to celebrate strong women that follow their passion. It was a nice reminder of what drove me – freedom – and how art is a choice and a wonderful gift to be enjoyed everyday.

And suddenly, I felt I was back. Ideas are coming, I am practicing. New colors are starting to make more sense. The storm is still raging but now I feel I can ride the wind.
